How we teach

Foundation Curriculums.jpg

Foundation Curriculums

We believe that anyone can learn the basics of visual arts. Ashcan Art developed curriculums of a wide variety of materials and techniques, that students can follow easily and learn efficiently. These curriculums will nurture the solid fundamental base for students to explore their creativity.

Art Contest Preparation.jpg

Art Contest Preparation

We keep our eyes peeled for art contests that students can participate in, and help them through the process of application and submission. Students can challenge themselves to compete locally and nationally and gain confidence in their abilities. While many contest-holders offer cash and other prizes, they also grant awards that make students stand out among other college applicants. Our students have been consistently recognized for their talent by the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards and other national arts organizations.

We support kids’ big ideas to make them a reality

Kids have big ideas, but often get lost on how to express them and where. Ashcan instructors are here to give them the structure and technical support they need to realize their dreams. With Ashcan curriculums, 3rd-5th graders will gain hand-eye coordination and the experience to draw, paint and sculpt images from life and imagination.

Creativity Stimulating Programs in Visual Arts

Creativity stimulated by Visual Arts is something students can use outside of the studio, as well. When students realize their creative potential through projects, they gain confidence and unique knowledge about a subject. At Little Ashcan, they can visually and verbally share their ideas with their fellow students and teachers, building lasting social skills.

Student Progress Report

See how far you have come to your art journey with the Progress report at the end of every session. Ashcan provides a detailed record of each project’s progression with the instructor’s comments through the Ashcan Mobile App or personal image gallery.

 Individually Tailored Curriculum

Our courses are structured so that each student gets plenty of one-on-one time with their instructors. Each student is able to focus on personal learning and our instructors work individually with students to develop projects that are in line with their interests and educational goals.

Ashcan Annual Exhibition

The exhibition gives our Ashcan students a chance to showcase their works and to celebrate their creativity and talent with their family and friends.
